Sonoma County Work-Ready Certification Process
Key leaders in Sonoma County have come together to develop the standards and criteria for certifying entry-level job seekers as work-ready. The Sonoma County Work-Ready Certification indicates the candidate's readiness for the successful transition from education to work. It reflects important skills, attitudes, and values that are essential for success in the workplace. Key skills are reviewed and verified by the business and education community. Each participating school or community-based organization will have a process for confirming the skills required to earn the certificate. After students/youth have completed their Work-Ready Certification Applications, they are scheduled for an interview by a panel of members of the business community. If successful, students are issued a Work-Ready Certificate endorsed by key business organizations in the county.
